Big Baby!!!
Well.....Kennedy is measuring at 8 lbs 13 oz and I am only 39 weeks! YIKES!!!! They say the ultrasound can be off as much as a pound in either direction...so she is anywhere between 8-10 pounds right now. HOLY MOLY!!!! Also, her head is measuring two weeks ahead....poor me! Haha. My doctor went ahead and scheduled the induction for the 28th if she doesn't come before then on her own....so she will be here between now and then!!! Here is my 39 week bump:
More good news!
This is Jake's first week of post-school in San Diego. He was already told by the regional manager that if we make it till due date, he will fly Jake home and let him finish training in Sacramento!!! We just need baby girl to stay in for 7 more days and daddy will for sure be here and get to experience those first few weeks of her life!!! I am over the moon excited!!!!
Today I am 39 weeks. Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday that I was staring at that test...now to know that I will be holding my baby girl in my arms in 9 days or less is unreal to me!! If we make it past due date we will schedule an induction for that Friday since she has been measuring 2-4 weeks ahead since I was 20 weeks. I am kinda hoping she stays in that long anyway to make it easier for Jake because I don't think they will fly him home on a Wednesday but that they will want him to at least finish the week there. I have to say, this pregnancy has been pretty easy so it isn't that big of a deal that she stays in there for another week. Of course I barely sleep at night because it is really uncomfortable and if I stand or walk for too long I feel like my uterus will fall out! But...I am pretty sure that is all normal for being 39 weeks pregnant! I would much rather be uncomfortable for another week and know that Jake will be home than to go into labor now, have him fly home with hopes that he makes it home in time, and have him turn around and leave a couple days later.
I have an ultrasound today to measure how big she really is and to make sure there is enough amniotic fluid in there for her. Cross your fingers for us!!
Also, I haven't posted pictures of Kennedy's nursery on here...so here it is!

Jake passed his training!
He still has one more month to go of post-school but he officially passed his training! This has been incredibly hard. You had to have a 90% average in order to pass and they took tests EVERY SINGLE DAY! Not only did he pass but he graduated #2 in his class of 54 students!!! I am soooooo incredibly proud of him! He has sacrificed so much to do this for his family and not only has he passed but he kicked ass (even though I knew he would :-)) He doesn't give himself enough credit but he is one smart guy! He flies home tonight and leaves on Sunday for San Diego. He will officially be home on November 11th! Although, I am pretty sure that date will change since Kennedy is due in the meantime!
I am doing everything listed on the "natural ways to induce labor" except for drinking castor oil this weekend with hopes that I go into labor while he is here. He wants her to come this weekend....but we will be happy whenever she decides to arrive as long as she gives her dad enough time to fly home for the birth! Well...lots to do today before he arrives! T minus 10 hours till I get to see him!!!
