Finally! A bump!!

This was taken last week....9 weeks and 1 day...Finally a little bump!!

Ultrasound #2

We had our second ultrasound today! Wow has baby grown!!! They were able to do it over the belly today and the baby looks 100 times bigger than last time...arms and legs were visible and it was moving all around! Heartbeat is still strong...we have a healthy little bean in there :-) We weren't able to get any pictures this time since they did it on their small machine. I have to have a crapload of bloodwork done and we get to do the first trimester screening in a couple of weeks. Then we have another appointment in the end of April. We should find out the sex end of May/early June!! Can't wait.

We announced it on Facebook today and it feels so good to have the support of our friends and family.

Buying a house = Pain in the ass!!!

Now that our little family is expanding we are under even more of a demand to buy a house now! I had a couple of issues with my credit which is the reason why we hadn't bought yet. I finally got everything taken care of and my credit is great! Jake and I found a new home that we fell in love with and there is a program with the state of CA that gives us grants for being first time homebuyers buying a brand new home. Basically we would only need to put down 1% and they will pay the remainder of the down payment and all closing costs. Also, since it is a new home we would get ALL of the upgrades that we wanted for free! So, today was the day that we were supposed to sign the contract. Our realtor called us and gave us the bad news that while my credit was fine...Jake's credit was way below mine. This was a complete shock since he had a really good score the last time we checked in October. There are two things on his credit that are stopping us from buying a house.

1. He was put as an authorized user on a credit card of his brother's that has a past due balances of $34,000 and it is over 120 days past due. Thank you for trying to sabotage our credit, oh lovely brother-in-law.
2. He was sent to collections for medical bills from the car accident that he was found at NO FAULT for!! Turns out his lawyer who said she had taken care of the bills has completely lied to us and didn't do a damn thing so he was sent to collections.

Here is the good news - both of those things are fixable because they do not belong there.
BAD NEWS - Big possibility that home won't be available in 45 days when we will finally have this crap taken care of.

If it isn't one thing it is another. We have been working so hard at fixing my credit not realizing in the meantime that his credit was being destroyed. We will get through this!! We will get a house!!! And HOPEFULLY it will be BEFORE baby comes in October!! Otherwise, we will have to rent for a year or so....all I do know is that when we finally have a house...we will kiss the floors and live there for a long time in order to avoid this crap again anytime soon!!

On a side note...baby is perfectly healthy still and growing like a weed. Little baby inside of me...I just want you to know that I love you so much and I can't imagine loving you more than I already do...but I know that will happen when I get to meet you in October. Stay healthy in there and GROW GROW GROW! Mommy and Daddy love you and are anxiously anticipating your October arrival!!

First Ultrasound :-)

The ultrasound went beautifully! The baby is measuring 6w6d, due October 28th. It was amazing to watch the little heartbeat flickering sooo fast!! Heartbeat was 130bpm which is in the boy range according to old wives tales! Here is our little raspberry:

I also had my first prenatal appointment...NOT FUN!! But the fun part was figuring out what hospital we will deliver at and getting all the books on pregnancy and having the baby. We are over the moon and it really feels real now!!!

First Ultrasound TOMORROW!!!

It has been a while since I last posted but that's because there hasn't been much to share! So far this pregnancy has been pretty easy. I had a scare last week where I passed a small blood clot in my urine. I called the doctor and they said since I wasn't bleeding before or after and I wasn't having heavy cramping I should be fine but she did put me on pelvic rest. No sex, no heavy lifting, and just take it easy until they tell me otherwise. The morning sickness has been starting to hit me in waves. Usually around 10am I feel a little nauseous but if I eat a snack it goes away. Today was the first day where I felt nauseous pretty much ALL DAY LONG. I can't complain though...I just keep telling myself it means my baby is growing like a weed! And it is...it is the size of a blueberry this week!!!

So tomorrow morning is our first ultrasound at 7:45am. I am a little nervous but I am staying positive that everything will be okay and we will get to see the little heartbeat. I will update you tomorrow with hopefully our baby's first picture!!!
