One Month Post-Op

I can't believe it has already been 4 weeks! It seems as if it flew by. The first week I lost 21.5 pounds and thought it was going to be that easy or close to it the whole time. Boy was I wrong! As soon as I started eating mushies I started GAINING weight...even though I was consuming around 800 calories or less in a day and working out each day. I finally stopped gaining and stalled for a while. I then started losing again but it has been a very slow loss and some days I get right back to where I was the day before. This has definitely been a struggle. I have to keep reminding myself that the weight loss is going to be slow and that I don't have any restriction yet...so things will get better once I have restriction. I decided to take a picture to see if I could notice a difference between pre-op and now. I think there is a slight difference in my face but not much. Then again, it is only 21 pounds.

We leave for Sacramento tonight...going there for Thanksgiving. Hoping I don't gain any weight while we are there!!

First Post-Op Appointment........

and I have lost 21.5 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It had been a TOUGH first week for me after the surgery. Lots of pain and chicken broth. I knew liquids would be hard....but this hard???? I just wanted to chew on food! After I stepped on the scale at the doctor's office...the pain and liquids were all worth it!!! Now is the hard part...slowly moving into solid foods and continuing the weight loss journey.....
