Here is a picture of his "last meal" which was a 4x4 at In N Out....yikes!!!
His surgery was on Saturday, September 26th. It took about 2 1/2 hours from prep to recovery. He was having a lot of back pain when he first got out from the operating table. It didn't take long for the gas pain to settle...especially in his left shoulder. He has been in constant pain with his shoulder since then and we are on the 3rd day out. He has been using heating pads and liquid vicodin. Hopefully the pain will be better in a few days. He is on a clear liquid diet....pretty much living off of chicken broth and jello. The last day for that is tomorrow, then he can move on to "full liquids" which consist of protein shakes, milk, creamy soups, pudding, cream of wheat, and yogurt. He is REALLY looking forward to that day!!!!
